1-      What makes the Toms River  Seahawks different?

The TR Seahawks ensure the student athlete is just that, a STUDENT first than an athlete. We provide a supportive community to grow on and off of the field.  Our outreach includes weekly tutoring, transportation options, and assistance with food insecurity to athletes in need. The Toms River Seahawks have a reduced cost for registration to foster an increase overall participation in organized sports.  We care deeply about the future success of the athletes both on and off the field.

2        How much does it cost for the 2026 season?

Each athlete is $185 to register and play tackle and $95 for Flag

3        Why do the TR Seahawks cost less than other organizations?

We are firm believers that no sport should be cost prohibitive. The charters of youth sports organizations include this belief but not all are able to deliver on it.  As a 501(c)3 (a nonprofit organization) we participate in fund raising and sponsorships to be able to supplement the registration costs to keep them more affordable.

5        When do we start?

The 2026 Fall Season officially starts on August 1st .
Media Day will be held in Toms River on Saturday June 6, 2026. Media day includes baseline concussion testing, helmet measurements, and MANDATORY parent meeting. We include pictures and a combine style event for the athletes.  Details will be emailed to all registered athletes.
First 2 weeks of practices will run Monday through Friday 6-8 pm for conditioning requirements. (Monday Aug 3rd- Friday August 7th and August 10th - Aug 14th)
Once school starts practices will reduce to Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.

8        What level teams are you offering?

We aim to offer at least one team at each age group - flag for 5-6-7 years old, tackle starts at 8U and includes up to 14U.  Age groups can be combined if needed. All teams have a cap so that each athlete has the opportunity to learn and have significant game time. Once the registration reaches the cap, a wait list is created. We will break the teams to have ore than one at a level if interest allows. 

Registration is first come first served so register early!! Your athlete's age on July July 14, 2026 is their Pop Warner age.
